Evangelical Christians currently make up approximately 14.3% of Uganda's population (approximately 6.4 million people).

As part of the country’s broader 81.8% Christian majority, which coexists alongside a 13.2% Muslim population, other faiths and Traditional African Beliefs (1.6%), and those with no or unclassified religious affiliation (3.5%), the evangelical community continues to play an important role in Uganda’s religious and social landscape. By 2050, Uganda’s evangelical population is projected to reach approximately 10–12 million people as the country’s population grows and evangelical movements continue to expand.

The rapid expansion of mobile connectivity has enabled a multi-platform digital ministry ecosystem where viral, algorithm-friendly content heavily drives offline giving and mobilization.

Christians in localized northern/eastern regions and along the western border face targeted violence, social exclusion, and lethal attacks from radical Islamist actors.

Despite massive community mobilization and widespread welfare delivery, internal church governance remains overly centralized around the personal authority of charismatic founders.
